A study of a daily oral medication for adults living with chronic hives that antihistamines are not controlling.
We are conducting a clinical trial to see if an oral study medicine can help people with moderate to severe chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), often called chronic hives, get better symptom control and fewer flare-ups. Participants receive specialist care at no cost throughout the study.
Up to 1 month. We confirm eligibility and review your medical history.
6 months. Daily oral medication and regular clinic visits.
1 month. A final phone call to check in.
The study medicine is a daily oral pill thought to work by blocking specific signals that tell the body to create inflammation. You continue your regular antihistamines throughout the study.
For the first 3 months, about two-thirds of participants receive the active medicine and one-third receive a placebo. For the second 3 months, all participants receive the study medicine.
